Caitlin Tabancay Austin

Caitlin Tabancay Austin, soprano, grew up singing in the Bay Area and was a founding member of Gaude.

In her ten-plus years with Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble she fostered a new love of interdisciplinary performance in projects such as Baba, Iron Shoes, Singing Through Darkness, Vocal Alchemy, and The Rusalka Cycle. She directed “The Lab,” a Kitka community chorus. She scored and performed in Theater Mundi’s The Maids (2017) and participated in Double Edge Theatre’s Immersion Program (2012). She has sung with Volti, Iron Henry, Ramon & Jessica, Euouae, Cappella SF, and others. Caitlin holds a B.A. in Music History from UCLA. She is also a bodyworker and a weaver.
